73% of CEOs and 66% of HR heads say their HR department is expected to implement change faster than it did three years ago, according to Gartner. With the rate of change accelerating still, how do you pinpoint where your recruitment and talent management resources should be directed?
In the name of getting a glimpse into the future world of hiring and how the industry can ride the wave(s) of change, we reached out to a group of industry thought-leaders. Our list of experts includes the likes of inhouse Talent Managers, external Recruiters, international industry influencers, content curators and HR Tech specialists.
We asked them questions like:
- What is your main Human Resources/HRTech/Recruitment/Talent Acquisition focus for 2020?
- What do you think the hot topic/buzzword of 2020 will be?
- What should we be focusing on learning more about?
- What will be the biggest mistake people in the industry make this year?
- What do you wish you could be spending more time on in HR/HRTech/Recruitment/TA?
Kick-starting 2020 – Joel Stein – Getting data and automation right…
The first thought-leader we wanted to feature became a PASS friend when he agreed to participate in a panel discussion about Total Talent Management which we hosted in collaboration with JobAdder (check out the key takeaways from the event here). His passion for how data can help inform recruitment practices to accommodate the gig economy, among other things, makes him particularly interesting.
Joel Stein has worked at Precision Sourcing Australia for the last 10 years, where he is Associate Director & Data/BI specialist in recruitment. He’s also active on the speaker circuit and is the co-founder of Women of Data and founder of the NRL Datajam series.
In this video, Joel delves into what data they will be looking at as they continue to ramp up hiring in 2020. He also talks about the AI and Machine Learning trap and makes suggestions around what Recruiters and Talent Acquisition specialists should be focusing on instead.
