Over 300… That’s how many HR and Recruitment events have been scheduled to take place in the calendar year of 2019. So how do you decide which ones to attend?
That’s what this monthly HR and Recruitment event staple is for: A global roundup of the must-attend events for the upcoming month.
1 – HR Tech, Tuesday 2nd – Friday 4th October, Vegas
HR Tech Vegas is the ‘conference of all conferences’. It’s always our number 1 “must attend” event or the year – and not just because it’s in Vegas (although, that doesn’t hurt).
Think: 10,000+ attendees, 1,000s of products/solutions and 125+ speakers at 1 event. If you want to be in the loop of what’s happening on the HR Tech scene and what’s going to be the focus for the year ahead, this is your go-to event.
Josh Bersin’s talk was one of our faves last year. And we’re betting that his keynote session on “Making Sense of AI: How Technology is Shaping the new HR Agenda”, taking place on Wednesday, 2 October, will be a winner too.
2 – People Leaders in Retail, Monday 7th – Thursday 10th October, Melbourne
So, we haven’t been to this one before, but word on the street is that it’ll be a goodie. Particularly because it’s an industry-specific HR event… The event agenda covers industry trends and offers epic networking experiences to really chat to those people who are having the same experiences and issues as you.
Their 4 reasons to attend really spoke to us:
1 – Support change and transformation with a focus on your people
2 – Develop practical solutions for employment branding & talent management
3 – Upskill as a People & HR leader
4 – Confidently make the move from EX to CX
3 – Hung Lee events, Sydney, Leeds & Paris
This mention’s just a tad biased, so excuse the shameless self-promotion.
Hung is an all-time favourite of ours. We know we’ve mentioned his podcast and newsletter just a few times before. So when we heard he’s heading to RecFest we had to see if he’s come to Sydney too.
Recruitment Rebooted, Thursday 10th October, Sydney
He’ll be hosting a panel discussion on the changing world of recruitment. And how the current recruitment process and tools are built around a model of work which is no longer the default way of working – with the days of onsite, permanent and full-time working models changing rapidly.
#truLeeds 2019 – The Recruitment Unconference, Thursday, 17th October, Leeds
Covering every step in the candidate’s journey, this event brings together a bunch of fascinating subject matter specialists for new insights and broader peer-to-peer learnings.
Unleash, Tuesday 22nd – Wednesday 23rd October, Paris
This one’s set to pull a crowd. With everyone from Future-of-Work Strategists to the Minister of Labour for the French Government on the speaker lineup, it’s set to be one of the largest Future of Work and HR Tech conferences this year.
There’s a lot of action in the HR and Recruitment space. So if we’ve missed a ‘must include’ event, please let us know by commenting below, emailing email@example.com. Or reach out on LinkedIn or Twitter. We’d love to hear from you.
