Places to go and people to see… That’s the motto of modern professional life. There’s a fine line between FOMO (fear of missing out) and JOLO (joy of missing out). With so much going on, we’ve put together a list of the unmissable events for September.
One of the biggest events in the Australian calendar, the Australian Human Resources Institute’s (AHRI) National Convention is set to hit Brisbane in a matter of weeks. Aimed at “anyone responsible for workforce decisions geared toward driving their organisation’s success,” AHRI’s National Convention offers something for every level of HR Pro, strategic business-minded and talent-focused professional.
This year’s content is designed to guide delegates on an exploration of the tech changes in the industry and how humans remain at the centre of the innovation and human capital management engine.
Standout sessions include:
What do World Vision Australia, OzHarvest, Good360 Australia and HoMie have in common? They’ll all be presenting at Third Sector Live 2019. Hosted in Sydney on the last week of September, this is the go-to event for HR and recruitment professionals from registered charities, not-for-profits and social enterprises.
As with any industry we work with, we know the NFPs (as with any industry) that we work with have their own specific challenges, so we’re excited about seeing events like these pop up, that cater specifically to the industry.
Just in case you didn’t get it from the name, this event is specially for in-house recruiters. It has an absolutely packed agenda, leaving us baffled about which sessions to choose and which to miss out on. From IBM and BP on modernising recruitment through technology and the role of TA to how to attract Gen Z, there really is something for everyone.
This one comes courtesy of our Head of Sales – who highly recommends this one… Three great content tracks and a great place to find out more about what HR Tech is available.
Standout sessions include:
- Investing in people: Fixing the Industry’s Internal and External Reputation.
- Diversity and inclusion: Culture as a Business Driver
In February this year, our Head of Marketing attended Hiring Success in San Fran and she’s still talking about it. It was “incredibly well organised, there was something for everyone and it included a great mix of SmartRecruiters product info too.”
Standout session include:
- The most innovative hiring process
- F#@! Up JAM
We read a lot of Gartner’s whitepapers and research so we couldn’t miss them off the list. The agenda and speaker line up looks incredible… All centred around the future of work and the role that HR can play in reimaging work so that it drives performance and adds strategic business value.
There’s a lot of action in the HR and Recruitment space. So if we’ve missed a ‘must include’ event, please let us know by commenting below, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Or reach out on LinkedIn or Twitter. We’d love to hear from you.
